Oh my... Today I almost lost my mind driving to work. There was an accident and it created a huge traffic. Imagine tons of people hurying to their works and blocked under a scorching sun.

Then they foretold it will be over 30-35 celcius degrees later today. Pure hell!
A moment after that I've heard that it's predicted nearly 40C in Hungary.

Mary, how are you holding? Aren't you fried there yet?

Oh boy, I really don't like such accidents. I mean, ofc I dont like any accident but imagine when there is a big accident which not only creates heavy traffic but in many cases causes the public transportation to stop :S and that's what i use when im going to school. In those cases, i usually have to walk (it talkes about 1-1,5 hours to reach my uni by walk, 25-30 mins by tram) so im usually late those days :S which sucks... *hates bein late*

Mary, how are you holding? Aren't you fried there yet?

I thought I'll die!!! I hate heat!!! And today of all days I had to travel to Budapest (concrete jungles are the worst in this kind of weather; the heat is trapped in there >.<) because my uni was holding the "degree certificate giving" event... in a small church (my uni is a ecclesiastical one) stuffed with hundreds of people and the doors were closed -.- i left home around 10 and got back around 8:30 pm. It was really hellish! But I'm right here, which means i survived! evil_laugh

How are you guys taking this heat? I, for one, usually stay indoors till the evening. I really can't take heat well biggrin
I dont know what's goin on with the weather this year.... it's usually not this hot here >.< by the end of the summer i'll be like a fried chicken if this goes on biggrin

Say what? biggrin

But there's something that aroused my curiosity. From your earlier talk with Control I concluded you are Muslim too, this brings me to my question.

Is this uni stricktly Muslim? Unfortunately I can't imagine an ecclesiastical university in which can study people of different religions. Or am I wrong?

That means that it's not a state university but the "sustaining autority" (sorry, dunno how exactly to explain biggrin ) is a church

That right, more precisely I'm a revert. Meaning that I'm not a "born Muslim"

Hehe good question! But I guess U'll be surprised biggrin the name of my uni is: Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary. So, it's a protestant university
As far as I know there arent any islamic universities in Hungary. I think, however, that schools aren't that strict towards religions as after all, we have a so-called freedom of religion in the country (at least for the time being...). But Hungary is predominantly a Christian country.

Btw, if U are curious about anything else I'd glad to answer provided that the answer is within the range of my knowledge smile

I forgot about this topic for a while, but there's one thing I'm curious now.
This question just begs to be asked:
Why, coming from Christian family, you chose Islamic faith? What brought you to it?

You could call me a story collectioner biggrin , because I can't hold myself from asking about moments in people lives that I regard as important.
I'm trying not to be too nosy, so if you find this question too private to talk about publicly, say so and just ignore it.

Uhh, I'm so sorry, I forgot to answer ^^;

Long story short, it was the end of a - let's call it - spiritual journey (which took many years). I have been searching for my path since high school and I happened to find myself in Islam.

Was this too brief? biggrin

Thanks for an answer. :]
Quote (BloodyMary)

No it wasn't and I'm sure it isn't easy to picture many years of searching for a path without writing an essey.
Although I'm a policeman who isn't usualy associated with being religious, I too am a spiritual man. My believes however are more like a combination of some parts of many religions.
