Well another thing: if someone's connecting and is saying hi most of the time noone will even take the effort to respond. It's not only about people you know, especially those you don't know have to feel welcome. I personally don't really care and don't might not even say Hi when I come in but you as members should try to welcome everyone and chat a little because some players need/want to.
