Hi everyone,

It was time to revise the How to guides for members. We, in the mamangement team, noticed that some people don't know how to handle some situations.
I'm revising, combining and rewriting the guides made by Made, Rage, Djuki, Meizi and Marx (sorry, if I missed out anyone unintentionally!). Please take your time to read this list, so you can see how to handle different issues.

Spawnkillers:
First thing to do: warn them and tell them that spawnkilling is not allowed.
When they do it again, splat them (!splat [playername/slotnumber]) and warn them again that spawnkilling is not allowed. This step can be repeated any time you wish.
When they do it yet again, you can use !kick command (!kick [playername/slot number] Spawnkill). This will kick the player from the server for 6 minutes. As for me, I prefer to warn the deliquent before using !kick. By saying that if (s)he keeps spawnkilling (s)he is going to be kicked from the server. But it is up to anyone's own preferences.

Walljumpers:
Splat them immediately (!splat [playername/slotnumber]), because otherwise they can end map already. After you did that, tell them that walljump is not allowed.
The second time you find them walljumping, splat them again and warn them again that walljump is still not allowed.
If they refuse to stop doing it, you are free to advance to the next level which is kicking them from the server (!kick [playername/slotnumber] Walljump).

When a clan-member is in spec, (s)he can enter Shoutcaster. Which is an advanced spec mode that enables its user to see each players' name above their characters head (and other additional stuff like seeing landmines of each team or seeking the remaining time till dynamite explosion). This mode makes it easy to check the names of the walljumpers.
How to access Shoutcaster: Type “/sclogin newscpass” into the console. If you wish to exit this spec mode, simply type /sclogout into the console.
Please note that this mode is for clan-members, so please do NOT tell it to any outsiders!

Swearing/other language:
The community's main language is English!
When you find a player swear excessively or talk in another language, please warn them politely that it is not allowed.
If they do it again, give them a second warning.
If they still refuse to stop it, mute them with a reason.

Always write a reason, even if you do not mute permanently! Put in the reason if it is a permanent mute or put a date of unmute. Examples: permanent mute: !mute [playername/slotnumber] [reason]. Temporary mute: !mute [playername/slotnumber] [reason] unm 5jun

If you spot a muted player always use !finger command to find out why that player is muted. If it is a temporary mute which already expired, you are free to unmute that player.
However, if it is a permanent mute do not unmute that person. Every permanent mute has a reason and only the muting authority (=the person who muted the player) is allowed to decide if (s)he want to unmute that player.
If you find the permanent mute unjust you are free to suggest it to the admin who muted that player. But it is never your call to veto the mute.
Exception: if the one who muted the player in question, has no time for unmuting and asks you to unmute, it is of course okay for you to do it.

Hackers:
If you see someone using aimbot, wallhack, namehack etc. please follow these steps:

1. When you or someone else spots a cheater, you need to start recording. This can be easily done by writing /record into your console. Writing /record [playername] will record a demo under the player's name. So, it will be easy to find which demo goes to which ban. For example: /record rag3 and it will be a demo under rag3's name.

2. Then, you need to use !finger command on that player. Always use fireteam-chat for the !finger command (!!!) because if the cheater sees that you're fingering him/her, (s)he will probably turn his/her hax off and you can't get evidence. !finger [player]. You can also write into the console /follow [playername/slotnumber], but make sure you got '/' and not '&' in front of follow.

Additional info: Before using !fi command, use the /clear cmd to clear all info in your console screen.
Because after !finger make a file text of it. This way you have the IP saved in a txt file.

How?
type "/condump [name].txt" into the console and this file is stored in your jaymod folder. This will come in handy especially when the cheater doesn't have guid (GUID (00000000) or he changes GUID) because you will have his/her IP address and someone from the Management Team will be able to ban him/her later on!

3.After you have fingered the cheater, you need to spec him/her. If you're not sure what aimbot or wallhack looks like and how they act, ask someone with more experience to check on him/her, or show him/her your demo. DON'T BAN IF YOU'RE NOT SURE!

4. After you have specced him/her, ban him/her immediately. !ban [playername/slotnumber] perm [reason]. After you have banned him, make sure he is in the banlist. !banlist cmd will show you all the bans. If you see your ban there with guid 00000000, that means (s)he doesn't have a guid and will probably connect back to the server. At this point, look up his/her IP address. Give this to a manager+ and he/she will ban a cheater via IP ban. IF you don't see your ban there, that probably means that he have already reconnected and the ban has been reseted.

5. After you banned the cheater, you can stop recording by typing /stoprecord into the console.
You will find your demo following this route: C:/Program files/Enemy Territory/Jaymod/Demos.

6. Add your ban to the banlist on the website: http://wolfenstein.clan.su/gb

(7). If you notice while recording that the cheater is gone and you are really sure and got evidence about him/her, contact a high admin (lvl 15+) and give him/her the cheater's guid and (s)he can ban the cheater with !banuser command.

Unfair teams:
When the teams are unbalanced then say in main chat ‘Fix teams please’. As Clan-members it is your job to keep the game fair and fun for everyone on the server, so when you see someone asking for evening up the teams those of you who are playing need to join the unfair team until the teams are balanced again. It frequently happens that some members do not do this probably because they want to stay in the team in which they are currently playing. Please don’t do that, because you will ruin the game for lots of others. Just fix the teams by joining the team with less players.
If this doesn’t make sense, because everyone is ignoring you or there aren’t other Clanmembers online, you can randomly put someone in the losing team via using !put command (use this method when the situation occurs in the middle of a map). Please try to use !shuffle command only after the map has ended!
If the Clan-members ignore you, please contact your Group Leader and tell him/her about your situation or make a topic about it on the Forum in the Members section (http://wolfenstein.clan.su/forum/10).

Player names:
If a player who isn’t in the clan has an #IA| tag in front of his/her name, please warn him/her and ask him/her to rename him/herself. If (s)he doesn’t listen to you, use !rename cmd to rename that player. If (s)he keeps changing back his/her name, ban him/her with the reason of tag-stealing.
If a player has a discriminating, racist or a rude name, please warn him/her and ask him/her to rename him/herself. If (s)he doesn’t listen to you, rename him/her. If (s)he keeps changing back his/her name, ban him/her for one week.

AFK players:
If a player is away and the server isn’t full, do !put s. If you’re not allowed to do this, ask a higher member and otherwise you don’t have to do anything. If the server is full and there are players afk, (make sure that you know that they are afk!) you can do !ban [playername/slotnumber] 1s afk

Other:
Next, restart and this kind of commands should be used when a vote passes. Don't use commands without a reason.
Do not call useless votes and when you find a player doing so, ask him/her to not do it again.

Please follow this guide in any situation.
Thank you for reading!

If you have any questions, notifications or problems please contact you Group leader and officers first!

Question:
if teams are unfair and XP shuffle is in order, but vote fails, is it okay to do shuffle anyway?

Answer:
No.

The majority have spoken and chosen not to shuffle.
The only option in this situation I see is to join the worse side, or in the worst case move someone by yourself (!put).

hmmm yea it depence...

Iff teams really suck it might be wise to act

this is how its sset in the server.cfg:
set vote_percent "70"

this means that you need more then 70% to make a vote to pass.
if the vote is like 60 % and you know change is needed, act...
but its best not to use !shuff cmd
but to !putteam 1 or 2
that way you keep control of the teams because shuffle it totally at random.

Putteam a good player to the team that needs it. But be sure to use this cmd wisely! Because it will cause trouble amongst players
