the problem imho is more that for example a engi plants dynamite at the cp and medics (or other classes) defend the dynamite. impossible for them to destroy the cp when they can't kill respawned allies.

the other way round you allow with this rule sk with satchel and forbid it with other weapons

this is why if the spawning allies shoot at you (destroying CP) u can shoot back but only if they shoot first.. admins will have to spec to know if they are not shooting first.

panzerfaust / mobile mg / shotgun -> when the enemy shoots first you have no chance and your teammate breaks a rule if he fires back because nobody shot on him wink

edit: there are more cases for example grenade or satchel or or or...

undoable imo
admins can do alot but that is uncheckable.
You can't make the rules to hard to controle because the outcome will be the same as having no rule + alot of irritation at all sides.

This post is meant to invoke a discussion. So please discus... I think its best to allow SK at the spawn points...
Then at least teh rule is clear and easy to uphold.

To me, the CP spawns can be put into the "capturable" category, as they are captured by building the CP, and as such, they shouldn't be no-kill zones. They usually are just additional spawns for the teams (and some of them aren't even in game without mapscripts), so killing inside them does not alter the gameplay very much. Also, it's virtually impossible to destroy such spawn for a team without covert ops, which is not a rare case, especially if there aren't many players online. Also, in my opinion, the fueldump allied CP spawn should not be the default-chosen third spawn, it should be manually set.

BTW, shouldn't this discussion be in the IA|Members forum? The people outside the clan have little to discuss on the clan server, they're probably more interested in the final version of the SK borders.

I think it would be ok to sk @ cp but camping behind them and no cvops around it feels bit silly ... also I been so much in situation that you example run through spawn, and some saws you and shoots you and you shoot back, then people yells sk. It's the best way to stay away from the spawn and protect the obj. smile

no sk it is but we havin the problem with borders atm and i think it should be the whole spawn area except for the few that go to cps.. e.g. in Oasis i think, once captured, anything past the old city wall is spawnkilling.. with the exception of the corner where the water pump is, which can be destroyed.. also sk is allowed in capturable spawns and backspawns like in goldrush after the tank is moved.
