| Quote well not exactly. It is kind of impossible to do ice swimming if your home sauna is 10 kilometers in the forest without any lakes near by But if you live near lake, then most likely you go ice swimming in the winter
Well our cottage is near by lake, naturally, and there is sauna so technically it wouldn't be problem if i really wanted to go swim in icy lake but who the hell is so nuts that he goes there volunteerly?!
Instead of swimming me and my friends had habit to walk while having sauna. Our longest was ~1km completely naked at -15 degrees and i can tell that at some point you kinda lost sense of touch of your toes. One guy actually frostbited his toes very badly and he couldn't feel anything in two weeks with those. Apparently his mother didnt like it.
Anyhow we do have "ice saw" at our cottage if you feel like ice swimming im more than glad to saw the hole for you so you can torture yourself.
