| So as always i felt tired while being at pc and suddenly in bed i feel like i have slept whole day and not feeling tired at all. Well anyway, everyone knows this is the point where your mind starts wandering in past and for some reason i found myself in last forestcamp we had in leaderstraining at army. So i use this opportunity to share you one more story of my army times. (Probably not last one tho :D) So, this was last forestcamp we had in leadertraining and whole leadertraining was supposed to end just week after that if i dont remember badly wrong. This last practise was about protecting certain area and two radars in it. (Real working ones in closed area with fence which had these spiky things in it so none could get over it, and about those radars i was actually surprised finland has such a things. :D) Aaand story continues, as always we had really low amount of people because these pussies moms raise these days cant handle couple more kilos over their shoulders. Well this time it actually sounded quite good and we were almost jumping from joy when we heard we should have 16 hours of guarding and 8 rest. (Basically two hours for eat and 6 to sleep which sounded like royality compared to earlier practises where we slept luckily 4 hours a day and with luck you were able to sleep it in two twohour sections or like usually 1+1+1 and with luck 4th hour.) So it sounded peace of cake but we soon noticed that it was pretty much a lie. I found myself not eating anything in 24 hours and not sleep for 26 hours until i said i cant carry on. Well it turned out that i had around 38 degree fever but lets not go into that because i am not sure. Okay so what soldiers do when they are guarding? They smoke naturally! So everyone ended up cigaretts either wednesday or thursday. And those who smoke know the feeling if you cant have a smoke for day or two and its killingly boring. So then last day which was friday, after fucked up nightly defence and hearing trainers telling how shit we were, we had our last meal and i opened my jackets pocket and showed our guys package of green chesterfield cigarets and asked who would like to have one. You should have seen people faces when they came to me thanking and cheering etc. Then this one guy, who was later promoted to sergeant with me and was my best "armyfriend", was smoking cigarett i had given to him said:"Fuck, Lappalainen you are fucking great guy."
And that comment this man said to me was the thing i actually wanted to share with you guys and it only took me 7500 marks according to my phone. But yet today i remember exactly how he said it and how did his voice sounded like and thats maybe one of best rewards man can have. Not to mention the other 20 people who looked really happy with their smokes. Such a small thing can make so many people happy, only possible in army! And now i hope my scumbag brains let me sleep.
