| Hi all.
I am working on getting a "cheater free server" status on ET.trackbase.
What is this??
Well they are now rating servers that don't have PB enabled. This means that players are rated.
They hand out this status to servers they "trust" and have enough admins to check that a cheater is banned.
They have developed this "alternavtive cheat protection" because a lot of servers are having trouble with PB (just like us)
I hope we can get the same status, because it'll drawn allot of players to our server that play for rating. And that is good for us in ET world.
Why am I telling you this. Well, They are gonna check us out on how we deal with cheaters. So I am asking you lot to keep an eye out on cheaters WH's humanised aimbots etc etc.
Be carefull about banning those without knoow 100% is a BIG NO NO......
There are no strick rules for getting this status so I have no clue is we get it or not. But i do hope so because this will seperate us from the other servers who don't have the same status.
So in the period to come. Keep an extra eye out on cheaters but be sure you know what you are doing!!!
So once again the procedure for getting rid of cheaters......
# Never tell anyone on public chat you think someone is a suspect. Use the fireteam chatbox to use cmd's so others can't see you doing !fi !spec etc etc.
# Always get prove by making a demo using the ET buildin demo maker ( open console and write /record [name_suspect)
# Always check out someone if others say someone is cheating. (ask him who he meant by Private message)
# If you think someone is cheating and you have prove but can't ban go on xfire and find a higher admin. Even if you aren't 100% sure. We are here to help and train you guys!
What steps...
1. go in spec. And clear your console screen by opening it and write /clear (this comes in handy when you want to back up his IP, Keep in mind that you want to know who he killed in console be4 clearing it)
2. get his IP
(use "U" to open FTchat and type !fin [name/slot#] )
3. write this down or make a copy of the consolescreen buy typing /consoledump [nameplayer]
4. start maming a demo by /record [nameplayer]
5a If you are shure ban him or contact a high admin on xfire to ban him.
5b if you are not sure you can watch te demo using the setting /shownormals 1
this will allow you to look thrue walls while watching the demo. This will make a lot clear.
If you are still unsure ask someone else the watch the demo.
6. add the ban to the banlist and upload the demo when someone asks for it.
If it turns out he isnt cheating make clear you looked into it and tell the one who was complaining you results!
This is a new developement to all IA members also for the mageners and owners. Its something I found out recently and there are alot of uncertainties. If you have questinos feel free to ask.

| Well it isn't a program
It just that et.trackbase trusts some servers because it has good admins.
Those servers the this status and players on that server will be ranked.

| then i got it wrong  .. anyway we have always put high value to fair play and the fact that we dont have any ex cheaters (as far as we know) proves that so it would be a good thing to get this status
