You shouldn't ask your fellow members to check the forum. They will have to do that on their own. If they don't they should be warned by the managers performing the activity check. If a members ignores the demand several times, then serious punishments are necessairy.
If members just visit the forum, eventhough they are automaticly logged in, it doesn´t mean they are reading any topic. They could aswell just open a new tab; surf to the forum; and click it away. That's not really visiting. I propose that you put all important general messages, including the activity check, on the main page. Therefore a member with a small amount of time can read the most important topics. And off course will mention the activity check. If he or she doesn't reply on the activity check, it will clearify the fact that they aren't reading anything. That little forum activity can be demanded of every single member.
